Miso Baked Tilefish

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 lbs. tilefish fillet

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons miso (white, NOT sweet)

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon tamari

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (peeled & minced)

  • 1 small clove of garlic, minced

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  • Coat fish with salt and lemon juice. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Place in baking dish.

  • In a small bowl, mix miso, honey, tamari, ginger, and garlic so that it becomes a paste. Spread evenly over fish.

  • Bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes, then finish under broiler for 5-7 minutes.
